When people view my art I want them to be drawn in and their It took me a long time to realize that who I was as a child all the way
curiosities piqued. I want them to take their own journey, ask their own to who I am now IS my art. My background, how and where I grew up,
questions and most of all, form their own conclusions. I want them to are part of my process. Not having much as a child forced me to be
meander through the paintings and ponder what the thought process creative with what I did have. My love of tools, textures, colors, and
must have been like when this painting was taking on life. Where did nature all stem from my roots. The subconscious has stored all those
the idea come from, why was it executed in that manner, why that things and today I am being rewarded as they surface in my art.

When I’m bringing a painting to life, I have no preconceived idea or plan.
I start simply by placing the first color or object on the work surface.
My subconscious takes over allowing me the freedom of expression.
I don’t hesitate to try things that simply “break the rules”. Art has to be
fun for me. I play, explore, try, imagine, and most importantly, I listen
to my instincts and my heart. The challenges I encounter only make
the journey that much more interesting.
