grace Wawa yang was born and
raised in Taiwan. She completed an
MFA from Parsons School of Art and
Design, and has a bFA from Emily
Carr Institute of Art and Design.
yan g ’s e x p r e s s i o n ar ti s ti c a l l y
stems from an inherent desire to
understand her own existence. Her
artistic process is a philosophical
investigation to simult aneously
understand life and art itself.

Through her art she expresses her
inner and outer world, representing
both her consciousness of the world
around her and her imaginative
subconscious.
Her subjects often explore the theme
of mortality, dreams and childhood.
She believes in challenging format of
her work, and uses various mediums
such as digital photography, light

sculpture.
She currently lives and works in New
york City and vancouver.
