energy. The flattening of the paint details each element
separately, and the smoothness of the background evokes
a great sensation of timeless open space that is well-
located within the composition. A masterful sophistication
of red monochromes – which she uses very often - give
life to the painting. Red, blue, and greens are set
harmoniously against the warmer color tones. Each color
is a symbol - red: freedom, passion, flame, and joy; orange-
red: freshness of a summer evening; yellow: optimism,
sunset and happiness; blue: endless space, and that the
                  sky is the limit.

Segev thinks that a painting’s task is to please and to
cheer the spectator; therefore, the “celebration of colors”
should leave the observer with a sense of heartiness and
                  harmonious happiness.
