THE WHOLE TO FLOWER, ECO SCULPTURE (GENERAL VIEW)
Eco-art sculpture comprises steel cages with waste materials from the city streets.
This work represents the artist’s concept of creating a bridge between the “end of
the road” and renewed flowering. The search for renewal cycles in the modern and
industrialized urban environment led the artist to the landfill where he picked the
“raw” materials for generating positive and useful solutions for the discarded waste
materials. The wood trimmings, the bottom coal ash from energy production, the
compost from grape residue, and the separated cow manure were all combined to
form the infrastructure and growing media for growing new plants and flowers. Thus
the symbolic art piece inspires the optimistic aspects for renewal, even from the
kinds of waste that represent for our society the sad end of life and emptiness.
