lives and works in Jerusalem, israel

Mina Minskaya is a native of the city of Kharkiv, in the Ukraine, and a graduate of the Kharkiv Vocational
Art school. she moved to Israel in 1991. Mina Minskaya began her career as an advertisement designer and
was a regular participant in annual exhibitions of commercial art in both the soviet Union and abroad. As well,
Mina Minskaya has dedicated twenty-five years of her life to the art education of children. In Israel Minskaya
began to create compositions from household synthetic materials and although the technique was new to her,
she was able to shape and develop a personalized artistic approach and she has created a wonderful series of
colorful compositions that attest to her rich and subtle perception of color. A sharp observer with a metaphori-
cal and associating mind, she endows her images with a fluidity that transforms art into an imagery that is both
composite and philosophical. Characteristic features of Minskaya’s works are integral plasticity, unobtrusive
decorative forms, and structural subtlety. In her compositions one can detect a masterful combination of the
monumental and folkloristic uniqueness. Mina Minskaya regularly exhibits her work in Israel and she participa-
tes in competitions and international art exhibitions in Italy, France, and sweden. some of her most important
creations are found in four series which she has named: The Moebus strip; The World of nature; A Memorial: In
remembrance Of The great Masters; and 3d Compositions: Installations.
