           I’ve visually interpreted the swimming pool theme of the exhibition   Mara Adamitz Scrupe is a poet and visual artist. Her art projects have
           more or less literally. But the subtext of my images might also have   received wide recognition with exhibitions and permanent commissions
           something to do as with the societal implications of the structure   in the U.S., Europe and China. Her essays and critical reviews have been

                                                                 volumes. A Minneapolis native, Scrupe received her BA from Macalester
                                                                 College, Saint Paul, Minnesota and her MFA from Bard College’s Milton
                                                                 Avery graduate School of the Arts in new York. She has taught and
                                                                 lectured nationally and internationally and occupied the first Barbara
                                                                 Bishop Endowed Chair in Art at Longwood University in virginia.
