Discovering an exhibition of Van Que is like going
to meet the diversity and novelty which remain the
essence of all creation. The artist denies adhering
to permanence, in order to do something new.
So, where is Van Que? Well! Everywhere. In
watercolours with their multiple aspects, in oils with
their impressionist, fauvist, cubist styles, in linear

pen and ink, and even in those superb sculptures,
the latest creations of the master and researcher.
Indeed, Van Que is evrywhere, eluding all styles,
which he considers as the prison of the creator. The
contrary would be craftsmanship and staleness.
For Van Que, a work of art is, first and foremost,
to contribute something new to creation.
