We are all bond by emotional knots and fetters
of interconnecting tensive obligations and all-
embracing energy threads. Energy of affection,
feelings, attachment, intimacy, dependency,
energy of interplay of human microcosms and
overpowering influence of the macrocosm. We
are catenated by subtle links of past or future
interactions, by links and manifestations of
omnipotent causality affecting every move and
every event in this world. And I only try to explore
some of these connections, to uncover some
metaphysical reciprocity of the real physical
world through interactions of objects depicted
on canvas in virtual situations.
By using understandable elements and recogni-
zable symbols, and, by enhancing conflicts and
relations of those limned objects and personages
to dramatic patency, I try to intrigue and unob-
trusively dispose the viewer to concernment and
active participation in resolving those factitious
conflicts I create in my paintings. I try to inveigle
him into looking for the nature of his deepest
associations induced by picture scene and idea.
And when the viewer’s own associations and
life experience are adequate, my painting may
provoke certain emotional empathy and his intel-
lectual immixture in artificially simulated relation-
ship between characters (objects) of paintings.
Those relations are not blatantly visible, they are
presumptive and probable esoteric connections
of things, powered by assumptive motivations
and hidden intentions, cause-and-effect event
anticipation.
Each work is devised to be a key to understanding
the reality and viewer’s own relations with it. Or, in
the very least, it can act as a trigger to actuate his
perception to work in different angle altogether.
My paintings are constructed to provoke very spe-
cific reactions and they can usually act on various TRENDS
levels: emotional, associative, subconscious, intel-
lectual, spiritual. However complexity of picture
meaning and fullness of its understanding both
increase accordingly: from plain emotional grasp
- to deep intellectual-analytical cognition…
