                                                                 The paintings of brigitta Westphal are many-sided and fascinating
                                                                 mixture of impossible visions, of ecstatic abductions, of imaginative
                                                                 pictures and illusory incantations holding moments and thoughts.
                                                                 Imaginations surround reality. Poetic fingerprints transfigure
                                                                 circumstances and mood into pure mirages. The source of her
                                                                 artistic inspirations results neither from visions nor from a utopian
                                                                 longing, but from a sober perspective, from a strict and at same time
                                                                 sensitive analysis of humans and of society, and from a survey of the
                                                                 relationship between human and nature and of existence’s meaning.
