Before creating my paintings, oil on canvas, I make several
studies with pencil on paper to get the best idea of perspective
for the object represented.
Most of my work is oil painted because it is one of the most
sensual materials. This preparing work is an indispensable
process to reach, with the use of various colored shades, for the
desired final result. The "errors" of perspective used in many
of my paintings are used to highlight to confirm the sense of
space in a "flat-view".
The constructions find their origin in the sensuality of daily
articles, ordinary things. Within the blue, blue sky, within the
depth of the ever so blue sea. Behind that I cannot see, my
space is defined by height, width and depth.
My Art begins there. Seeing, looking, and trying to find a balance,
trying to keep a balance, working at a painting, a space to be.
An open space, to shape, to enter, to explore, to love, to hold,
to give, to take, to caress, to capture, to see, to define, to touch,
to wonder.
A painting to create with the tools and means I have: oil, canvas,
pencil, brush, paper, and geometrical, mathematical structures.
Parallels visually appear crossing in infinity defining the limits,
a rainbow of light is going its way about, crushing, caressing,
capturing space.
The parallels visually crossing in infinity seek to define the
limits. Define the space which I am trying to create, to visualize,
to focus with oil and brush, pencil and paper, defined by the
borders of the canvas, behind that is the wall and another wall.
