Joanne is a sculptor currently living and working in Canada, whose work
encompasses the human element. Through the sculptural medium she
reflects what she sees around her whether it be the politics of living, social
ramifications of the environment, or the humor derived from our human
fragilities. Her art has been shown in Canada, China, Europe, USA and
South East Asia. Joanne was chosen as one of two artists to represent the
Canadian Sculpture Society in the first Beijing Biennale and one of three
artists to represent Canada at ARTIADE, held in conjunction with the 2004
Olympics in Athens greece. She has won many awards and her work is
included in numerous corporate collections in Canada and the Philippines.
Joanne is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art in Toronto and her
postgraduate studies include: Ecole National Superieure des Beaux- Arts,
Paris France, University of Toronto, Toronto Canada and the Ontario College
of Education, Toronto Canada.
