On a recent visit to his studio, entering his space one is
treated to an array of work that runs from the most intricately

depicted traditional icons to life-size portraits of Archbishops,
saints and revered leaders of the Orthodox Church. These are
remarkable not only for their artistic execution, but for the
sheer generation of emotion and power imbued in each. Is it

possible to express such optimistic hope and spiritual fruits in
a brushstroke? to carry it to completion in a single painting?
to extend it to a lifetime’s body of work? In Rudik Petrosyan’s
case, the answer is an unequivocal YES. There is truth and

beauty in these works, like reading a Psalm. (Victor Forbes)

Art is born out of great love and sacrifice. It is never
enough for me to be completely satisfied from what
I have created. Once I finish a painting I have this

great urge to create another one that is greater than
the previous one. When I paint I feel God’s presence
around. For the time being I am working on deepening
and perfecting my skills. I always try to create sense of

eternity in my paintings.
