Artist Lidy De Brouwer shows her
art of painting her versatility, for the
greater part gained by an already in her
childhood obtained character. She still
considers herself as a rebel, someone
who consciously went her own way
and still does. Painting and writing are
an essential part of her life. Two art
expressions which she fulfilled adequately
for years. Beside here attention devoted
to her family and here social-cultural
development. In her graphic work, which
she sees as a real extension of the poetry
she writes, she puts dawn very sensitive,
several moments in time. She uses a very
extensive wealth of colors to express
on canvas her intimate inner life. The
diversity of subjects runs parallel with
her interests and her direct environment.
She observes very accurately and know
how to express artistic what she receives,
sees, experiences, what stirs her hart. She
puts her own interpretation in all these
themes, shows them at the approach
of those interested just when her work
of art begins to live his own life. She
approaches in her work of art very strongly
the subjects, as peace, nature and human.
And this in all their aspects, richly colored,
sometimes daring, than again supported
very intimate. In her canvas, surrealism
and figurative expression go hand in hand
and give enough matter to think about. Her
graphic work never finishes, as the artist
each time removes her limits by which
her and each time evolves in time. Lidy De
