         Harmonies of Perception:
Tiina Jääskeläinen-Alasaari, once known by her former surname
Hattunen, weaves her existence between visual art and written
word. Here, amidst the serene landscapes of Turku, Finland,
she paints her narratives. Music becomes her muse, extracting
images, fragments of emotion, whispers of rhythm. Each
brushstroke dances to a hidden symphony. The giraffe tiptoed
into her pictorial world in the 1980s, a silent companion. But
chairs, oh, they arrived with controversy. They spoke of human
existence, the tension between conformity and rebellion. Her
own life, raw, unfiltered, becomes lines on paper. Drawings and
poems metamorphose into lectures, reaching professionals who
aid victims of domestic violence. She is both witness and guide.

In Florence, Italy, the international jury beckoned. But it was
her exhibition with her goddaughter, young Vilma Puputti, that
whispered of continuity. Two females, two voices, one visual
dialogue. Faces, their myriad facets, haunt her. Portraits become
her Everest. Familiarity breeds complexity. Selfies, their digital
mirrors, reveal inner worlds. Tiina interprets their interpretations,
a kaleidoscope of souls. Her palette broadens. Subtle hues, like
Mediterranean breezes, infuse her canvases. She calls them jazz
colors, and Miles Davis’ music is her muse. Synesthesia guides
her. Words taste like hues; music paints atmospheres. Creation,
the alchemy of observation and identity. If her paintings and texts
touch universality, she has reached her goals. In this dance of
perception, Tiina Jääskeläinen-Alasaari invites us to see, hear,
and feel. Art, her oxygen, breathes through her veins.
