Love and passion guide me as an artist and a human being.
The endless search for spiritual origins, the desire to reach
the deepest understanding of life, compassion for fellow
human beings, and the hope of bringing more light into
darkness constantly motivate my creative nature. I’m a
strong believer that each true artist has unique talent.
Every artist should develop his or her own vision. My vision
combines two worlds: the former Soviet Union, where I
grew up, and the United States, where I currently reside.
Communism and capitalism are two opposite ideologies, and
having experiences in both of these worlds has enriched my
artistic scope. I have many messages to deliver, both political
and non-political. Another dominant theme of my art is the
search for spirituality. I believe that there is one major power
in the universe, through which all people are interconnected,
and this is reflected in my art. I think art can provoke people
into thinking about the world’s problems today and how to
solve them by learning to connect to their fellow human
beings. The world needs more kindness, understanding and
tolerance. Also, most of my art centers around the idea of
empowered women. My art motivates women to be more
independent, feminine and self-aware. women need to
think more highly of themselves as mothers, daughters, and
sisters. Beauty is an overrated quality in today’s society.
Inner beauty is more important. My art portrays strong
women with inner beauty. with technological advances, the
world is becoming a smaller place. Art is losing its originality
in many ways. Too much emphasis is on commercial
rather than true creativity. we need new, fresh ideas and
movements. I feel it is time for a revolution in art. And I am
looking forward to participating in it.
