                                                                           utilized by asbjorn Lonvig.

                                                                           French author alain Joannes has high praise for asbjorn
                                                                           lonvig's work in his new book " Comment communiquer
                                                                           par des images ". the publication was presented at the
                                                                           "Salon du livre" in Paris.

                                                                           The art of Danish painter, Asbjorn  lonvig communicates
                                                                           euphoria at the initial viewing. This euphoria is so intense
                                                                           that the viewer is mesmerized by the painting.Of course
                                                                           the significant glow is achieved by the interaction of the
                                                                           saturated colours. The dazzling colours create a prolonged
                                                                           feeling of  pleasure  caused  by a  multitude  of factors. His
                                                                           art  illustrates  an  assumption  of  neurocognitive  sciences;
                                                                           namely,  that  the neurons in charge  of visual  perception
                                                                           are initially activated by recognition of patterns, then by a
                                                                           recognition of colour and, finally by recognition of textures
                                                                           and motion. In a piece of art such as "soul hurting still", the
                                                                           impact of the forms and the colours on the senses are of
                                                                           equal intensity. The pleasurable reaction occurs when the
                                                                           eye and the brain are presented with the primary colours
                                                                           simultaneously as they recognize the various forms and
                                                                           shapes. The viewers satiated emotions creates a basis
                                                                           for mental pleasure. In a further phase of contemplation,
                                                                           beyond the primary emotion, the spirit endeavors to convey
                                                                           an important message. It calls upon it's repertory of already
                                                                           memorized forms. Then, the pleasure becomes ludic.
                                                                           Functioning like a rebus, the chart of an unknown territory,
                                                                           a coded language or a mysterious diagram, the work of art
                                                                           asks of the viewer; "What am I"?
                                                                           The many possible answers are mental resonances which
                                                                           give a greater richness to the artistic communication of
                                                                           greater intensity then any other form of expression. This
                                                                           communication is inter-subjective which organizes the
                                                                           meeting between the subjectivities of the artist and the
                                                                           viewer.

                                                                           The viewer of an individual work is free to refer to tropical
                                                                           sensory prints dominated by solar yellow, sky blue, or
                                                                           deep vegetable green. he can also associate the table with
                                                                           an intimate collection of primitive art. Perhaps, he can
                                                                           remember the geometrical abstractions of kandinsky and
                                                                           Mondrian. Surely, the work of art will be kept in the long
                                                                           term memory of the brain. It is interesting to know that the
                                                                           joyful impact of a work of art by Asbjorn lonvig is closely
                                                                           related to his canvas.
