Water surfaces strangely mirror their surroundings. The lightest wind causes
unimaginable distortions, rectangular buildings turn into fluid structures, losing
parts in one instant, growing back together in another. Yet often seen, water
patterns remain only fleetingly known. The constant movement disallows
an exact analysis of the input. The camera, though, offers the possibility to
freeze this movement. Self-similar structures become visible without ever
being identical.
