                                                                                   New York City fine artist Mae Jeon produces
                                                                                   sophisticated  and  elegant  digital  floral  fine
                                                                                   artworks that are suitable for private and public
                                                                                   collections.
                                                                                   Her vivid, light-filled paintings attract the eye and
                                                                                   delight the soul! Born in Seoul, Korea, Mae has been
                                                                                   involved in the world of art and designs over
                                                                                   25 years. She received a BS and MFA in graphic
                                                                                   and advertising design from Hong-Ik University in
                                                                                   Seoul. Her graphic design career began in Tokyo,
                                                                                   Japan, where Mae further developed her technical
                                                                                   skills on branding campaigns, designing packaging
                                                                                   and advertisements. While working as a designer
                                                                                   Mae began developing her painting techniques
                                                                                   and style.
                                                                                   In 1977, she moved to New York and continued
                                                                                   working as a graphic designer. She started using
                                                                                   computer for graphic art applications for design
                                                                                   works. In 2000, she began to create digital fine
                                                                                   artworks incorporating floral subjects. In the
                                                                                   relationship of digital technology with nature, she
                                                                                   uses the frailty of flowers to depict the delicacy of
                                                                                   emotions.
                                                                                   Her artwork has been exhibited in numerous solo
                                                                                   and group shows in New York City galleries. Mae
                                                                                   also exhibited her artworks in California and a
                                                                                   museum in Florida. Recently she had a unique art
                                                                                   exhibition with her 4 sisters in Seoul, Korea and
                                                                                   she was a participated artist of the 2005 Florence
                                                                                   Biennale in Italy. Jeon has received several awards
                                                                                   for her work and has been featured in magazines
                                                                                   and art publications in the US and Europe. Her
                                                                                   digital artwork is printed on fine art paper using
                                                                                   archival ink.

                                                                                   “Flowers in my art represent my  emotional and
                                                                                   spiritual experiences. I use them to express my
                                                                                   feeling of the emotional conflicts, desire and
                                                                                   experiences that I encounter in everyday situations.
                                                                                   Each artwork is an expression of a personal
                                                                                   experience and the resulting series becomes a
                                                                                   public flower garden of my private emotions.”
