Taylor was resident artist at the Wassard Elea Refugium of Italy twice in 2016. It was another industrious year, and
labor seems to have bled into the works. “Factory” is a painted model PVC assembly, with a few dozen small lights in a
complex parallel 3 volt electric circuit. The structure itself is more formidable than Taylor’s ultraviolet PVC installations.
“Machine” is an assembly of many small foam carvings covered with plaster, similar to “Fresco Forms” but painted with
white enamel on dry plaster. Other various sized “Fresco Forms” and ceramics, watercolors and acrylic paintings from
the Salerno studios have also been exhibited.
