For the artist Jochen Schambeck, the canvas serves as the space where
a process of materializing energy unfolds. Vibrant colors strive for form,
intertwine, and coalesce into something inherently alive. These colors
evoke associations with floral structures in the viewer. The resulting
impression is one of naturalness, not derived from the mere imitation
of concrete “models” (such as flowers or blossoms), but rather from
            the inherent energy of color.

The materiality and energetic potential of color play crucial roles in
shaping the artwork. In this context, the process of materialization
is both permanent and reciprocal: abstracting from tangible flowers
and blossoms, the painting exists in the present moment while
simultaneously representing the universal concept of life.
