Art is a human activity based on experience, particular aptitudes, talent, and individual ingenious-
ness. Critical evaluation of artistic work necessarily must take into account the artists development through
various stages and the complexity of personal stylistic expression, as well as the time in which the work is
created and the place of origin. However, understanding the origin and stylistic form of art is not sufficient
to pass judgment on the work. One needs to understand art as an integral aspect of individual human and
social life, and one needs to study the influence of art on man and society, artistic awareness, and cultural
education. One also should try to understand the civil and social conflict that art represents and anticipates.
The birth, development, and decadency of the social institutions of art are defined by the organization of the
social group that influences the artistic creations. It is not an easy task, but such an approach can make pos-
sible methodologies appropriate for a wider interpretation of a work of art in a way that includes a precise
     reference to human personality.
