Petru Russu, an experienced active fine artist from Sweden with a Master of Fine
Arts degree, is the founder, editor, and publisher of two London-based publishing
houses: World of Art (WOA) Publishing (established in 1999) and Masters of Today
(MOT) Publishing (established in 2007). He is also the founder and manager of
the Art Addiction Online Gallery (established in 1992) and the Artoteque Online
Gallery (established in 2004).
Petru has been actively involved in world-class cultural events, collaborating
with museums, galleries, and creative technology platforms. His unconventional
etching method and art projects are distinctive and thought-provoking. Notably,
he has depicted the 100 erotic-to-tragic novels of Giovanni Boccaccio’s “The
Decameron” in 100 unique engravings. He has also represented Umberto Eco’s
“The Name of the Rose” and “The Pendulum of Foucault” through over 100 aqua-
forte/aqua-tint works, paintings, drawings, and objects.
Petru’s work is a testament to his commitment to the arts and his desire to push
the boundaries of traditional artistic expression.
