              a means of expressing life”, a life
             which captures a sensuality which
              is never satisfied. Sensitive to the
              analogy between the curves of the

             female  body  and  the  landscape,
              be it sky (clouds), sea (waves) or
              mountains (hills), he invents the

             “woman-landscape”,  applies  his
              discovery to around fifty works,
              in charcoal and in oils, composes
             “thirty  three  variations  on  an
              attitude of a sea-nymph (Nereid).

             Variations      which      are     the
              equivalent of a private diary, in
             which the progression is marked

              by hints to Matisse, Picasso and
              geometric abstraction, but which
              reveal  nothing  of  the  incredible
              creative energy of their author.
