         A Journey Through Surrealistic Expression.
Rodica Miller Petrescu, a USA-based fine artist, invites us into her
world -a realm where painting transcends mere technique and
becomes an intimate dialogue with the soul. In her confession,
she reveals the profound significance of the studio, that sacred
space where creativity blooms. “Painting is part of myself,”
Petrescu declares. It is an ordeal, a struggle, yet within its
confines lie moments of unparalleled wonder. The studio offers
respite from daily chaos, a cocoon where fatigue and loneliness
dissipate. Here, the burden of unanswered questions engages
in a secret dialogue with the artist’s soul and with God. Time
stands still, awaiting the miraculous tearing - the birth of art.
Petrescu’s canvases resonate with symbolism. “Ineffable” “The
Temptation of St. Anthony,” and “The Sea of Samsara,” emerge
from her brushstrokes. Each stroke carries meaning, and the
artist becomes a chronicler, recording experiences for those who
follow the same path. In her piece "The Rainmaker" ,"Journey VI"
and “Journey VII,” the deep background yields to vivid colors,
flowing like volcanic lava. Petrescu’s amorphic style echoes
Gustav Klimt, while the paint seems to dance, ready to leap from
the canvas. Like Wassily Kandinsky, she prioritizes shape and
color over subject matter, creating an expressive symphony.

Petrescu’s journey began at the Academy of Fine Arts in
Bucharest, Romania. Her accolades include the McLaine
Fellowship Exhibit in New York City. Currently, her work graces
galleries in Sweden, Germany, Canada, Japan, and Austria.
Rodica Miller Petrescu’s art explore the ineffable - the intersection
of soul, time, and color. Through her paintings, we glimpse
eternity. Her art invites us to embrace life’s mysteries, to step
beyond the ordinary and glimpse the extraordinary. (The Editor)
