Karl W. Lu, a contemporary artist with a multifaceted background
spanning science, technology, psychology, philosophy and international
relations. Born in Hangzhou, China, he later pursued postgraduate
studies in Australia, earning triple master’s degrees in art, design,
and architectural computing from UNSW. Lu’s manifesto of “Historical
Art Positivism” emphasizes the objective recording of historically
significant events in our rapidly globalized and digitally interconnected
world, Lu’s “Geopolitics Series” continues to convey profound meanings
which may also echoes Picasso’s anti-war masterpiece, “Guernica.”
His art bridges cultures, disciplines, and epochs, inviting viewers to
contemplate the intersections of human experience and history.
