Roberto Pestarino was born in Alessandria, Italy on
       november 6th, 1966. Since 2004 I have lived alone
with four cats and no television in the countryside
village of gavazzana, in the Province of Alessandria.
For years my interest in photography had been
grossly entrenched, if not lost, in other pursuits
and I had rejected the photographic medium.
One day, while on a journey I was perplexed by
the complex beauty of a sunflower, alive, thriving
in the nooks and crannies of an abandoned field,
creating its own narrative and instantly inspiring
me to purchase my first camera. Through its lens,
enabling me to capture the phenomena I saw
unfold earlier in the day. Soon afterwards, my
passion for photography as a conception for my art
was fully awoken - experimenting with the complex FaCe, 2013 DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPH
