xintian ZHU is a painter, photographer and a
calligraphist. She is also the Curator of Musée
ASIATICA in biarritz since 10 years. Her basic
artistic talent is in traditional Chinese painting,
but in course of many years in Europe she has
been inspired by modern painting. Therefore,
in her paintings we can feel the sources, the
technique and the rich style of Chinese painting
sometimes translated into modern art.
xintian ZHU is from the town of Hangzhou, born
in a family of lettrés. Her father ZHU xi Hou
was a scientist with two French doctorates, in
psychology and physiology. He was Professor at
the University of kunming and then at Hangzhou.
Her mother was also an intellectual and scientist.
It is believed that she was the first woman
journalist in China.
Judiciously guided by her parents, ZHU xintian
was passionate about painting from a young age.
