                                                                         Delving into the primal human urge to express the psychological
                                                                         through the aesthetic, Elmar C. Fuchs examines the shared bond
                                                                         between nature and the human experience. Profound issues
                                                                         can be seen in his mysterious and splendorous paintings which
                                                                         serve as reminders to the audience of the connectedness of
                                                                         all humanity. Creating his compelling oeuvre of highly expres-
                                                                         sive, exuberant semi- abstract works that contain an enduring
                                                                         and primordial quality, his compositions spur the emotions, as
                                                                         he invites us to probe the subconscious and offers a source
                                                                         of visual wonderment. His powerful landscapes and vistas are
                                                                         deeply psychological, illuminating the intangible forces in nature
                                                                         and expressing a landscape of the mind which exists in the inner
                                                                         spiritual world so that one is implored to explore that which is
                                                                         abiding within one’s own entity. This gifted artist adopts imagery
                                                                         as a visual metaphor to express the complexity of interior and
                                                                         exterior identity as he paints anthropomorphic visions which
                                                                         express one’s personal emotions and thoughts.
                                                                         Fuchs figures and shadows are illusions that communicate the
                                                                         true core of inter-subjective optical experience. Beautifully painted
                                                                         with, color-saturated compositions that bring his surreal lands-
                                                                         capes to lush, vivid life, they portray eerily provocative environ-
                                                                         ments. These mysterious dreamscape compositions with moody
                                                                         European skies and enigmatic figures exude a particularly quiet
                                                                         emotion and assume an almost spiritual significance.
