       It was a kimono and zouri in old days when I said formal dress in Japan. when   Art and music are the common wordless language for a world citizen. within
       I was a child, my mother went out in a kimono, it was a plow to look at the   me, the design thoughts echoed the same thoughts as of the people from old
       like and design. My interest took me to books and the kimono shops and I   days. In house environment or war, I identified with was each context, and
       examined it. I was surprised that every design came out from the ancient   it developed. I felt the thought of old people to the design in each building,
       times when I looked at books from around the globe. Africa and the Europe   a picture, and daily necessities.
       that seem to be totally different just as Asia, U.S.A., and South America are.
       In the design, there was the religious flavor with characteristic messages.
       when I was new to America where I lived I saw Japan universally, and became
       aware of my identity. But I did not know why I should have to express it.
