eva slachtova lives and works in Prague, Czech republic. she received her art education at the
school of Applied Arts, Prague. Her artwork evidences a particular attention to the human figure as
well as an interest in objects and landscapes. she tries to fuse these images artistically in order to
reach something important that gives events specific features while expressing emotions, feelings, and
meditative thoughts. Technically her artistic research focuses on etching, dry point, watercolor, and
drawing. slachtova has participated in numerous exhibitions in Czechoslovakia and internationally. she
has received several art awards. eva slachtova has been represented in: the 1997 MTg exhibition; the
Museo d´Arte moderne in rio de Janeiro; directory of Print; and the Art Addiction Virtual gallery.
